We are seeking an Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner for a locum tenens assignment in New Mexico. This opportunity begins on Feb 9, 2026, with a 50-day contract covering 8 or 12-hour swing shifts (11a–11p or 4p–12a). The ideal candidate will have a strong background and recent experience in emergency medicine.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Provide acute care to patients in the emergency department
  • Assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of emergency medical conditions
  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to deliver high-quality care
  • Interpret diagnostic tests and initiate appropriate interventions
  • Document patient encounters accurately and thoroughly
  • Respond promptly to critical situations and prioritize patient care based on acuity

Additional Information
  • Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in New Mexico required
  • Emergency Medicine background and recent experience required
  • Must have Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification (AGACNP-BC) and Emergency Nurse Practitioner Certification (ENP)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications required
