We are seeking an Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner for a 4-day locum tenens assignment serving as the sole provider in South Dakota. This opportunity begins on Jan 1, 2026, and features 24-hour shifts from 8 a.m. to 8 a.m. The selected provider will manage all aspects of patient care in the emergency department, including rounding on patients and stabilizing individuals for transfer.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Serve as the sole provider in the emergency department

  • Respond to a broad range of acute and urgent care cases

Additional Information
  • South Dakota NP license required
  • Board certification required in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Urgent Care
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required
  • Rural emergency department and sole provider experience preferred
  • EMR system: Other
