Locum Tenens Physician Assistant - Emergency Medicine Needed in NC

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant for a 4-day assignment with our client in North Carolina, starting May 8, 2026. This role involves providing critical care within a hospital emergency department, and a newly renovated minor emergency section. The ideal candidate will commit to six to twelve 12-hour shifts per month.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Work within a hospital environment
• Provide care in an Emergency Department
• Work in a newly renovated Emergency Department
• Operate within the Minor Emergency section (fast track) which is newly opened and runs 12 hours daily
• Address needs within a total inpatient census of 47 acute patients
• Manage an average of 80 ED patients per day
• Handle an average of 11 admissions per day
• Commit to ideally six to twelve 12-hour shifts per month
