Job Description

We are seeking experienced Emergency Medicine Physician Assistants for a locum tenens assignment in New York. This 10-day opportunity begins Jan 2, 2026, and offers a mix of 12-hour day and night shifts covering an emergency room extension. Flexibility to rotate between day and night shifts is required.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide acute care coverage for an emergency room extension
  • Manage patients with medical-surgical needs, including those requiring drips such as heparin and levophed (titrated for end-of-life care)
  • Care for patients with tracheostomies, stable ventilators, and trach collars
  • Collaborate with nursing and medical staff to ensure continuity of care
  • Adapt to changing shift assignments and patient care needs


Additional Information

  • Active New York Physician Assistant license required
  • Board certification in Emergency Medicine required
  • MedSurg experience strongly preferred
  • Flexibility in scheduling is non-negotiable
