Locum Tenens Physician - Emergency Medicine Needed in NC

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician for a 7-day locum tenens assignment in North Carolina. This opportunity starts on Dec 14, 2025, and features a series of 10-hour shifts, primarily during daytime and evening hours. The ideal candidate will have recent emergency room experience in similar-sized facilities and hold current ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS certifications. This locum position utilizes the Epic EMR system.

• Dec 14: 12pm-10pm
• Dec 23: 12pm-10pm
• Dec 24: 6am-4pm
• Dec 25: 6am-4pm and 12pm-10pm
• Dec 26: 12pm-10pm
• Dec 29: 12pm-10pm

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide acute care to patients presenting to the emergency department
• Perform rapid medical assessments and initiate appropriate interventions
• Manage trauma, cardiac, pediatric, and general emergency cases
• Collaborate with nursing staff and other clinicians to ensure timely and effective patient care
• Document all patient encounters using the Epic EMR system
• Uphold high standards of quality, safety, and compliance in all clinical activities

Additional Information

• Must have an active North Carolina medical license
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications required
• Recent experience in emergency departments of similar size is essential
• Accepting ABPS, ABFM, and ABIM board certifications
