Job Description

Our client in NC is actively seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician for a 1-day assignment starting May 10, 2026. This role involves standard solo Emergency Room coverage, where you will typically see 18-20 patients during a 12-hour shift. The department manages a substantial patient volume, and operates with an open ICU environment, supported by 24-hour availability of various specialties.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide standard solo Emergency Room coverage.
  • Manage a high daily patient volume.
  • Typically see 18-20 patients during a 12-hour shift.
  • Work within an open ICU setting.
  • Collaborate with 2 mid-level providers during split coverage shifts.
  • Utilize Meditech 6.1 EMR for documentation.
  • Benefit from 24-hour availability of Anesthesia, General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, and Radiology.
  • Address cases within an L&D department, noting that no newborn deliveries are received in the ED.


Additional Information

  • Board certification in Emergency Medicine required.
