Locum Tenens Physician - Emergency Medicine Needed in NC

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Emergency Medicine Physician for a 30-day assignment in North Carolina, starting May 10, 2026. This role involves 12-hour shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM, where you will manage a wide range of cases including anesthesia, general surgery, orthopedic surgery, and radiology, caring for an average of 18-20 patients per shift within a high-volume Emergency Department.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide care across various specialties including Anesthesia, General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, and Radiology.
• Manage a high patient volume.
• See an average of 18-20 patients during a 12-hour shift.
• Participate in open ICU settings, collaborating with one physician and two mid-level providers for split coverage.

Additional Information

• Board Certification in Emergency Medicine is required.
• Experience with Meditech EHR system is preferred.
