Job Description
We are seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician for a 4-day assignment starting May 8, 2026, in North Carolina. Our client is looking for a dedicated physician to work six to twelve 12-hour shifts per month, providing critical emergency care in a hospital's ED, which includes a new fast-track section.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Manage emergency care within a hospital setting, overseeing a Emergency Department.
- Handle a high-volume ED, adapting to a newly renovated facility.
- Staff and manage a newly opened, 12-hour daily Minor Emergency (fast track) section.
- Evaluate and treat an average of 80 ED patients per day.
- Manage an average of 11 admissions daily from the Emergency Department.
- Collaborate effectively with inpatient services for a total acute inpatient census of 47.
