Job Description

Our client in Nebraska seeks a skilled Emergency Medicine Physician for a 40-day assignment starting May 1, 2026. This role involves single physician coverage, working 12-hour day or night shifts, with an expectation of 10-12 shifts per month, and managing a high volume of patients across a variety of critical care scenarios.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide single physician coverage during 12-hour shifts (6a-6p or 6p-6a).
  • Work 10-12 shifts per month, balancing day and night shifts, as day-only schedules cannot be accommodated.
  • Manage an annual volume of approximately 19,000 patients, averaging 50 patients per day.
  • Perform procedures including intubation, chest tubes, and central lines.
  • Respond to trauma, STEMI alerts, and acute stroke alerts as the code team leader.


Additional Information

  • Required Board Certification: Emergency Medicine
  • EMR System: Cerner
  • The facility is currently working towards certification as a Level 4 trauma center.
