Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Family Practice Physician for an engaging 60-day assignment in Texas. This role commences on May 27, 2026, and involves providing comprehensive emergency medicine and family practice care during 24-hour ER shifts. The Physician will manage a diverse patient caseload, including emergency cases at a Level 4 trauma facility, alongside a broad range of family medicine duties from well-woman care to newborn and adolescent care.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide emergency medicine care at a trauma facility with PEDs.
  • Manage an average of 15-18 patient encounters per 24-hour ER shift.
  • Offer comprehensive family medicine services, including well-woman care, prenatal care, and vaginal deliveries.
  • Perform newborn care (birth-30 days), infant care (30 days-1 year), toddler care (1-2 years), child care (3-13 years), and adolescent care (13-18 years).
  • Conduct newborn resuscitation and provide general outpatient care.
  • Utilize 24-hour support services including Anesthesia, Laboratory, and Radiology.


Additional Information

  • Required Board Certifications: Emergency Medicine and Family Medicine
  • EMR System: Medhost
  • Work in a ED.
  • No newborn deliveries are received in the ED, and there is no Labor and Delivery department.
