Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide comprehensive family medical care within a tribal health context
- Manage a variety of cases with a focus on American Indian and Alaska Native patients
- Conduct examinations and develop treatment plans
- Prescribe medications and monitor their effectiveness
- Maintain patient records using the Cerner EMR system
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes
- Educate patients and their families on health maintenance and disease prevention
Additional Information
- Must hold an active Alaska nursing license and DEA certification
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and CPR
- Minimum of 2 years experience in family medicine
- Prior experience working with AI/AN communities highly desirable
- Must have a valid driver's license
