We are seeking a Family Practice Nurse Practitioner for a 120-day locum tenens assignment in Alaska. This opportunity begins on Mar 2, 2026, and features a Monday through Friday day shift, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with rotational Saturday coverage every 4–6 weeks. The provider will join a new urgent care clinic and will work with diverse patient populations. Candidates with urgent care, IHS/tribal or rural experience, and pediatric or OBGYN background are strongly preferred.

Responsibilities and Duties
Provide comprehensive urgent care services in a new clinic setting
Deliver care to a diverse patient population, including adults and children
Manage acute and chronic conditions within the scope of urgent care
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient outcomes
Document all patient encounters using Cerner EMR
Adhere to all clinic protocols and standards of care
Additional Information
Must hold an active Nurse Practitioner license in Alaska
Required certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA)
Board certification in Family Medicine required
Experience with IHS/tribal, rural, pediatric, or OBGYN care is a plus
Familiarity with Cerner EMR preferred
