Locum Tenens Nurse Practitioner - Family Practice Needed in AK

Job Description

Our client in Alaska is seeking a dedicated Family Practice Nurse Practitioner to begin a 120-day assignment starting May 4, 2026. This role involves providing essential primary care services, including managing common chronic conditions like hypertension and diabetes, along with pediatric and women's health, in a full-time, Monday-Friday 8 AM to 4:30 PM schedule.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide comprehensive primary care to a diverse patient population.
• Manage acute and chronic conditions including hypertension, diabetes, COPD, and asthma.
• Perform well child visits and deliver care to pediatric patients.
• Offer women's health services.
• Conduct medication management and complete history and physical examinations (H&Ps).
• Provide medical treatment for psychiatric patients.

Additional Information

• Board Certification in Family Medicine required.
• Experience with Cerner EMR preferred.
