Job Description

We are seeking a Family Practice Nurse Practitioner with substantial pediatric experience for a 240-day locum tenens assignment in Arizona. This opportunity begins on Oct 13, 2025, and features day shifts, Monday to Friday, with some 10-hour shifts Monday through Thursday. The ideal candidate is comfortable caring for patients of all ages, including newborns through age 18, and must be able to see 20-25 low acuity patients per day, both pediatric and adult. Familiarity with rural health or Indian Health Service settings is a plus. Proficiency with Meditech EHR is required.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Provide comprehensive family practice care for pediatric and adult patients
  • See 20-25 low acuity patients per day
  • Deliver pediatric care for patients from newborn to 18 years of age
  • Complete patient charts within 24 hours
  • Work effectively with the Native American population
  • Utilize Meditech EHR for documentation and recordkeeping

Additional Information
  • Must hold or obtain an active Arizona license (any state license accepted, but AZ license required)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications required
  • Board certification in Family Medicine required
  • Experience with rural health or Indian Health Service populations is beneficial but not mandatory
  • Minimum commitment of six months
