Job Description

 We are seeking a skilled Family Practice Nurse Practitioner for a locum tenens position in California. This opportunity offers a 90-day assignment starting on 08/01/2025, at a Hospital setting. The schedule consists of four 10-hour shifts per week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday) from 7am to 6pm. The ideal candidate will manage a diverse patient panel, including both existing and new patients, handling common ailments such as cough, cold, and flu, as well as chronic conditions like hypertension and diabetes. Responsibilities include medication management and caring for complex patients with multiple diagnoses.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Manage an existing patient panel and establish care for new patients

• Diagnose and treat common acute conditions such as cough, cold, and flu

• Provide ongoing care for chronic conditions including hypertension and diabetes

• Perform medication management for patients with complex medical histories

• Conduct comprehensive health assessments and develop treatment plans

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care

• Utilize Epic EMR for patient documentation and management

• Provide patient education on preventive care and disease management

• Adapt to the hospital's protocols and procedures efficiently

• Ensure high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment


Additional Information:

• Active California Nurse Practitioner license required

• Family Practice certification required

• Experience in managing diverse patient populations preferred

• Strong clinical decision-making skills
