Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Family Practice Nurse Practitioner for a locum tenens position in California through Barton Associates. This 58-day assignment begins on 07/14/2025, at a Multi-Specialty Clinic. The ideal candidate will work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (flexible 8-hour shifts), with days off for the 4th of July and Labor Day. The NP will provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages, including physicals, preventative health, prenatal care, chronic disease management, urgent care, women's and men's health, well baby care, geriatric care, podiatry, diagnostic testing, basic lab services, blood draws, hearing & vision screening, and immunizations. The provider will see an average of 14-18 patients per day using Epic; OCHIN Epic software for patient management. This opportunity offers the potential for extension beyond the initial assignment period.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:
• Provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages
• Conduct physicals and preventative health screenings
• Manage prenatal care and chronic diseases
• Handle urgent care cases as needed
• Offer women's and men's health services
• Perform well baby care and geriatric care
• Provide basic podiatry services
• Conduct diagnostic testing and interpret results
• Perform basic lab services and blood draws
• Carry out hearing and vision screenings
• Administer immunizations
• Utilize Epic; OCHIN Epic software for patient records and treatment planning
• Maintain clear communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members
• Adhere to all relevant health and safety protocols
• Collaborate with the multi-specialty team to ensure optimal patient care
Additional Information:
• Must be licensed to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in California
• Experience in family practice required
• Comfortable with a diverse patient population and wide range of primary care services
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt quickly to new work environments
• Flexibility to work 8-hour shifts within the 8 AM to 5 PM timeframe
