Job Description

We are seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner for a 25-day locum tenens assignment in California, beginning on Sep 22, 2025. This role involves treating acute and chronic conditions in a state prison environment, following a day shift schedule of 7:00am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday with a special 4-day week post-training.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic health conditions
  • Facilitate Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) inductions and continuations
  • Manage healthcare needs within a correctional facility setting
  • Collaborate with a dynamic healthcare team to provide comprehensive patient care

Additional Information
  • Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, DEA
  • Required Board Certifications: Family Medicine, Internal Medicine
  • Correctional experience preferred but not mandatory
  • Must have at least 2 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
