We are seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner for a 60-day locum tenens assignment in California, starting Oct 13, 2025. Responsibilities and Duties
  • Provide comprehensive family practice care to a diverse patient base, including a high percentage of Spanish-speaking and Medical/Medicaid patients
  • Utilize support from translators and Spanish-speaking medical assistants as needed
  • Perform patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and manage ongoing care in accordance with family medicine standards
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation using the Epic EMR system
  • Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary team members to ensure quality patient outcomes
  • Adhere to all regulatory requirements, including active CA DEA and furnishing license

Additional Information
  • Locum experience is required
  • Experience in FQHC, rural health, or IHS settings is preferred
  • Most recent clinical experience must be in a family practice setting (not urgent care, internal medicine, or pediatrics)
  • Must have active California Nurse Practitioner license, California DEA, and furnishing license
  • Required board certification in Family Medicine
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a predominantly Spanish-speaking patient population (translators and bilingual staff available)
  • Flexibility in scheduling is essential
