Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner for a 60-day locum tenens assignment in California, starting Nov 10, 2025. This opportunity features day shifts from 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday, and involves serving a diverse patient population in a family practice setting.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Provide comprehensive family practice care to a broad patient population, with a high proportion of Spanish-speaking individuals (translators and Spanish-speaking medical assistants available)
  • Deliver care to patients with a focus on those utilizing Medical/Medicaid services
  • Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EMR
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable clinical guidelines and regulations
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to optimize patient outcomes

Additional Information
  • Locum experience is required
  • Experience in FQHC, rural health, or IHS settings is preferred
  • Most recent clinical experience must be in a Family Practice setting (internal medicine or pediatrics experience will not be accepted)
  • Must hold an active California Nurse Practitioner license, DEA, and furnishing license
  • Required board certification: Family Medicine
