Job Description

We are seeking a Family Practice Nurse Practitioner for a 120-day locum tenens assignment in California starting Dec 1, 2025. This opportunity features a Monday through Friday schedule with 10-hour shifts and a minimum of 18 patients per day. Ideal candidates have at least 3 years of experience in panel management, as well as expertise in chronic pain management.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Manage a panel of patients in a primary care setting
  • Provide comprehensive family practice care
  • Deliver chronic pain management services
  • Close patient charts within 72 hours
  • Maintain compliance with all relevant protocols and documentation standards

Additional Information
  • Must be board certified or board eligible (if within 5 years of residency) in Family Medicine
  • Active California license required
  • BLS and PALS certifications required
  • Active DEA registration needed prior to start
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar setting (panel management) required
  • Experience with chronic pain management is essential
