Job Description

We are seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner for a 60-day locum tenens assignment in California, starting Nov 17, 2025. This opportunity offers flexible day shifts, Monday through Friday, providing primary care to patients of all ages and managing a variety of cases, including pain management. The role requires a current California state license and DEA certification.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide comprehensive primary care for patients ranging from newborns to geriatrics
  • Manage an average caseload of 14-18 patients per day
  • Address a mix of primary care and pain management cases (no x-waiver required but experience with pain management preferred)
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Epic EMR
  • Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaborate with other clinical staff to ensure coordinated care


Additional Information

  • Must have an active California state license
  • DEA certification required
  • Family Nurse Practitioner Certification (FNP) required
  • Minimum of 2 years of primary care experience
  • Experience with all age groups and pain management cases preferred
  • Epic EMR proficiency is expected
