Job Description

We are seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner for a 20-day locum tenens assignment with our client in California, starting Feb 2, 2026. The assignment offers an 8-hour day shift, Monday through Thursday, with a shortened shift on Friday, providing a balanced weekday schedule. This role is ideal for a nurse practitioner experienced with patient checkups, screenings, and vaccinations, and who is enrolled with Imperial Insurance (IEHP) as well as other preferred insurance panels.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Conduct patient visits, including routine checkups, health screenings, and vaccinations
  • Order labs and follow up on results as needed
  • Prescribe medications and manage ongoing care
  • Document all patient interactions and clinical findings
  • Coordinate care with on-site laboratory services
  • Ensure compliance with Basic Life Support (BLS) requirements


Additional Information

  • Must be licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in California
  • Enrollment with Imperial Insurance (IEHP) is required; preference given to those enrolled with Medi-Cal, CAH&W, Nivano, and Straight
  • Emergency privileges can be offered
