We are seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner for a locum tenens assignment in California. Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide outpatient primary care to adult and pediatric patients
  • Diagnose and manage chronic medical conditions
  • Perform routine office-based procedures within scope
  • Conduct preventive care visits, screenings, and counseling
  • Deliver women’s health services, including Pap smears
  • Provide pediatric well-child care and immunizations
  • Prescribe and manage medications and treatment plans
  • Review and interpret labs and diagnostic results
  • Coordinate referrals and specialty care, including telehealth
  • Maintain accurate EHR documentation and collaborate with care teams


Additional Information

  • Must hold a current California Nurse Practitioner license
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required
  • Strong background in chronic disease management, preventive care, and routine office-based procedures within a community or rural clinic setting
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary care team
  • Proficiency with EHR systems required
