Job Description

 We are seeking a skilled Family Practice Nurse Practitioner for an 80-day locum tenens assignment at a Multi-Specialty Clinic in Connecticut, starting 07/07/2025. This outpatient position involves working Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. The ideal candidate should be comfortable providing comprehensive family practice care, including general checkups, physicals, and management of chronic conditions like diabetes. Additional responsibilities include sports physicals, annual exams, school physicals, and addressing common ailments such as colds, coughs, and flu. Women's health services are also part of the scope of practice. The provider will be expected to maintain accurate records and report to the Medical Director.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Offer women's health services as part of comprehensive care

• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using eClinicalWorks and Epic EMR systems

• Report patient care and progress to the Medical Director

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care

• Provide patient education on preventive care and health maintenance

• Adhere to all clinic protocols and safety standards

• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members


Additional Information:

• Must be licensed to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in Connecticut

• DEA license may be required, though prescribing for ADHD and ADD is typically handled by a physician

• Experience in family practice and chronic disease management is essential

• Familiarity with eClinicalWorks and Epic EMR systems is preferred

• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a multi-specialty setting
