Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner for a 120-day locum tenens assignment in Connecticut. This opportunity starts on Mar 2, 2026, and features a Monday-Friday schedule, 8am to 5pm, totaling 40 hours per week. The ideal candidate will have a background in primary care, community health, and underserved populations, and will be comfortable managing their own patient panel in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Manage an independent patient panel with a focus on primary care and family practice
  • Provide care to a diverse patient population, including those with possible substance abuse, comorbidities, and dual diagnoses
  • See approximately 20 or more patients per day, managing 2-3 patients per hour
  • Demonstrate proficiency with EMR and timely chart completion
  • Prescribe and manage patients on pain medication as appropriate
  • Deliver care to underserved and community health populations

Additional Information
  • Connecticut state license required
  • Board certification in Family Medicine required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required
  • Minimum of 2-3 years experience as a Nurse Practitioner preferred
  • Experience in community health settings strongly preferred
