We are seeking an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner for a locum tenens assignment in Maine. This opportunity begins on Feb 2, 2026, for a 120-day contract, working Monday through Friday with day shifts. The provider will serve as the sole clinician in the clinic, delivering primary care to patients of all ages, with a strong focus on geriatric care.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Serve as the sole provider delivering comprehensive primary care for all age groups, with an emphasis on geriatric patients
  • Manage primary care cases independently within the clinic setting
  • Conduct patient assessments, diagnoses, treatment planning, and follow-up care
  • Prescribe medications and coordinate with specialists as needed
  • Provide preventive care, health education, and chronic disease management
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient records
  • Uphold clinical protocols and quality standards

Additional Information
  • Must hold an active nurse practitioner license in Maine
  • Required certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA)
  • Board certification in Family Medicine required
  • Significant experience in primary care and geriatrics expected; new graduates will not be considered due to solo provider responsibilities
