Locum Tenens Nurse Practitioner - Family Practice Needed in MN

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Family Practice Nurse Practitioner for a 36-day assignment in Minnesota, starting Jun 15, 2026. This role involves morning clinic duties from 8:30-10:00 AM, focusing on patient check-ins, prescribing ointments and antibiotics, and assessing acute illnesses, followed by on-call availability for emergency situations, allowing flexibility throughout the rest of the day.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Check in boys and girls clinics from 8:45 AM to 9:45 AM
• Prescribe ointments and antibiotics
• Check on acute illnesses
• Be on-call for emergencies requiring ambulance assistance
• See 1-5 patients during morning clinics
• Care for minor injuries including scrapes, cuts, burns, and sprains
• Write scripts for conditions such as strep, cold, cough, and flu
• Send out tests as needed
• Prescribe penicillin when appropriate
• No suturing or DEA needed for this role
