We are seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner for a 70-day locum tenens assignment in Montana, starting Feb 16, 2026. This full-time opportunity offers weekday day shifts, Monday through Friday, and involves providing comprehensive care in a correctional setting, including chronic, preventative, and urgent care.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Conduct sick call and rounding
  • Manage chronic and preventative care procedures and follow-ups
  • Oversee preventative care clinics
  • Perform chart reviews and lab renewals
  • Provide care for internal medicine cases during infirmary rounds as needed
  • Triage trauma cases
  • Document accurate, timely chart notes
  • Process medication refills
  • Participate in PA/NP lines (morning suture removal, follow-ups, etc.)
  • Address medication non-compliance with patients
  • Manage minimal transgender population cases


Additional Information

  • Montana license required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Corrections experience is a plus
