 We are seeking a skilled Family Practice Nurse Practitioner for a 16-day locum tenens assignment at a Clinic in New Mexico, starting 06/30/2025. The ideal candidate will work varying 8-hour shifts across Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. This role involves providing comprehensive primary care services, including management of acute and chronic conditions such as coughs/flus, hypertension, and diabetes, as well as conducting physicals. The position requires proficiency in Epic software and an active New Mexico nursing license. Responsibilities include handling both scheduled appointments and walk-ins, offering a diverse and dynamic work environment. This opportunity presents a chance to work in a primary care setting with potential for extension.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide comprehensive primary care services for patients of all ages
• Manage acute and chronic conditions including coughs, flus, hypertension, and diabetes
• Conduct physical examinations and health screenings
• Diagnose and treat common illnesses and injuries
• Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans
• Utilize Epic software for patient management and record-keeping
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
• Collaborate with clinic staff to ensure efficient operations
• Provide patient education on health maintenance and disease prevention
• Handle both scheduled appointments and walk-in patients
• Stay updated on the latest primary care practices and treatments
