 We are seeking a skilled Family Practice Nurse Practitioner for a locum tenens position at a Hospital in New York. This 120-day assignment offers a Monday to Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, starting on date 06/30/2025. The ideal candidate will be comfortable handling a range of primary care services, including treating common illnesses like cold, cough, and flu, providing surgical clearance, reading EKGs, conducting routine physical examinations and health screenings, managing acute care visits, and prescribing medications. The nurse practitioner will be expected to see 10-15 patients daily, providing comprehensive primary care services in a hospital setting.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Diagnose and treat common illnesses such as cold, cough, and flu

• Provide surgical clearance for patients

• Read and interpret EKGs

• Conduct routine physical examinations and health screenings

• Manage acute care visits

• Prescribe and refill medications as needed

• Provide comprehensive primary care services

• See 10-15 patients daily

• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using Epic EHR system

• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care

• Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures

• Stay current with advancements in family medicine practices

Additional Information:

• New York state nurse practitioner license required
