We are seeking an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner for a 13-week locum tenens assignment in New York, starting Jan 5, 2026. This role offers Monday through Friday day shifts in a primary care setting, with a mix of clinical and administrative hours. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable working independently, especially in rural healthcare settings. You will manage your own patient panel, occasionally without on-site physician support, with assistance from office staff and a tenured LPN.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide comprehensive family medicine services to a diverse patient population
• Manage your own patient panel with an average of 20 patients per day
• Conduct office visits scheduled in 15- and 30-minute increments
• Perform clinical assessments, develop treatment plans, and order appropriate diagnostic tests
• Deliver care with limited on-site physician support on select days, with supervision available by phone
• Collaborate with a supportive office team and experienced LPN
• Complete administrative duties, typically on Wednesdays (schedule adjustable as needed)

Additional Information

• Active Nurse Practitioner license in New York required
• Board certification in Family Medicine required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Previous rural health experience preferred
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
