 We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner specializing in Family Practice for a locum tenens position at a Hospital in Oregon. This 60-day assignment begins on 08/25/2025, with a potential for extension. The ideal candidate will be comfortable providing comprehensive primary care, including treating common illnesses, managing minor injuries, and performing basic procedures. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. As a locum tenens provider, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating acute and chronic conditions, emphasizing preventive health, and coordinating patient care.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide comprehensive primary care services

• Assess, diagnose, and treat acute and chronic conditions

• Manage common illnesses such as colds, sore throats, and ear infections

• Handle basic sick visits including stomach pains and vomiting

• Treat minor injuries, burns, cuts, and scrapes, including suturing when necessary

• Manage broken bones and other orthopedic issues

• Emphasize preventive health and patient education

• Order and interpret diagnostic tests (labs, imaging)

• Prescribe medications and manage treatment plans

• Coordinate patient care with other healthcare providers

• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using Meditech EHR system

• Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures

• Ensure high-quality patient care and satisfaction


Additional Information:

• Must be licensed to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of Oregon

• Experience with Meditech EHR system is preferred

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required
