Job Description

We are seeking a Family Practice Nurse Practitioner for an engaging 364-day assignment with our client in Oregon, starting Feb 9, 2026. This role involves providing direct patient care, conducting physical examinations, and developing treatment plans for a diverse patient population within a correctional facility setting, with shifts typically from 6a-4:30p.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Conducting physical examinations, developing treatment plans, and monitoring patients
  • Administering medications and providing instructions to patients
  • Monitoring and documenting patient health, including vital signs and medical histories
  • Providing direct patient care, triaging, assessing patient needs, developing care plans, and coordinating services
  • Educating patients on preventative care, healthy lifestyle choices, and substance abuse prevention
  • Understanding and adhering to correctional facility security protocols, while working closely with correctional officers and other healthcare professionals to ensure the safety and well-being of patients
  • Maintaining accurate medical records, documenting treatment plans, and reporting any relevant information
  • Conducting rounds and evaluating patients returning from off-site treatment
  • Admitting and discharging patients from the facility
