Locum Tenens Nurse Practitioner - Family Practice Needed in PA

Job Description

We are seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner for a locum tenens assignment in Pennsylvania. This opportunity begins on Oct 27, 2025, and spans a 65-day contract, offering full-time day shifts from 7am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday. The provider will work in a correctional environment, conducting sick calls, daily infirmary rounds, restricted housing unit rounds, physicals, consults, charting, and acute care management. Corrections experience is a plus, and a valid PA license with Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Conduct sick call evaluations and manage acute care cases such as cold, cough, flu, sutures, and splinting
• Perform daily infirmary rounds in the morning
• Conduct restricted housing unit rounds once per week
• Perform physicals, emergency consults, and admissions consults
• Complete charting and review of EMR queue
• Review laboratory and x-ray results

Additional Information

• Active PA Nurse Practitioner license required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Corrections experience is a plus
• Experience with EMR systems preferred
