Job Description

We are seeking a Family Practice Nurse Practitioner for a 65-day locum tenens assignment in Pennsylvania. This opportunity begins on Dec 15, 2025, offering full-time, Monday through Friday shifts from 7:30am to 4:00pm. The assignment is based in a medium security correctional facility and focuses on chronic, preventative, and urgent care services.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Conduct sick call and daily rounding
  • Manage chronic and preventative care procedures and follow-up appointments
  • Lead preventative care clinics
  • Perform infirmary rounds for internal medicine cases as needed
  • Triage trauma cases
  • Complete patient charting and documentation
  • Manage medication refills
  • Participate in morning PA/NP lines, including suture removal and follow-ups
  • Address medication non-compliance issues with patients


Additional Information

  • Correctional facility experience is a plus
  • Active Pennsylvania Nurse Practitioner license required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Experience with EMR systems is preferred
