Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner for an 8-day locum tenens assignment in Virginia. This opportunity starts on Sep 10, 2025, and offers weekday and Saturday shifts. The provider will deliver comprehensive care, performing physical exams, diagnostic testing, medication management, and treatment for acute and chronic conditions. Prior experience in occupational health is preferred, and a background in urgent care is considered a plus. Proficiency with Practice Fusion EMR is required.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Perform comprehensive physical examinations
  • Order or conduct diagnostic tests
  • Prescribe medications as appropriate
  • Develop and manage individualized treatment plans
  • Treat acute and chronic illnesses
  • Utilize Practice Fusion EMR for patient documentation

Additional Information
  • Valid Nurse Practitioner license required for Virginia
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Minimum of 4 years of NP experience required
  • Experience in occupational health preferred
  • Background in urgent care is a plus
