Job Description

Our client in Virginia is actively seeking a dedicated Family Practice Nurse Practitioner for a 72-day assignment beginning Apr 1, 2026. This role involves comprehensive patient care, including physical exams, diagnostic testing, medication prescribing, and developing treatment plans for acute and chronic illnesses. The schedule runs Monday through Friday from 8am to 7pm and Saturdays from 8am to 3pm, covering a broad spectrum of family practice cases, urgent care needs, and occasional women’s health services.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Perform physical examinations, order or conduct diagnostic tests, and prescribe necessary medications.
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans for patients with acute and chronic illnesses.
  • Manage a variety of family practice cases, including common colds, coughs, hypertension, UTIs, and STIs.
  • Conduct sports physicals and address urgent care-type visits such as lacerations, minor injuries, and trauma.
  • Perform procedures including suturing and ingrown toenail removal.
  • Provide occasional women’s health services, including Pap smears.
