Job Description

Our client in VA is seeking a Family Practice Nurse Practitioner for a 72-day assignment, commencing Apr 1, 2026. This role involves a schedule of Friday & Monday from 9 AM to 5 PM and Saturday from 8 AM to 3 PM. The chosen candidate will perform physical exams, order diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, develop treatment plans, and manage both acute and chronic illnesses within a family practice setting, which also includes urgent care and women's health cases.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Perform physical exams.
  • Order or perform diagnostic tests.
  • Prescribe medications and develop comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Treat acute and chronic illnesses common in a family practice setting.
  • Manage a variety of family practice cases including colds, coughs, hypertension, UTIs, STIs, and sports physicals.
  • Handle urgent care-type visits such as lacerations, minor injuries and trauma, suturing, and ingrown toenail removal.
  • Conduct women’s health cases, including Pap smears.
