Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Family Nurse Practitioner for a 120-day locum tenens assignment in Washington. This opportunity starts on Sep 22, 2025, and features a Monday through Friday schedule, 9am to 6pm with a one-hour lunch break. The assignment involves caring for walk-in clinic patients, collaborating with the Emergency Room department, and mentoring students in a teaching facility. The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of experience in family practice with rural health exposure and hold current BLS and Family Nurse Practitioner certifications. Experience with the Cerner EMR system is preferred.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Provide care to patients with chronic and acute issues in a walk-in clinic setting
  • Address patient needs when primary care providers are unavailable
  • Collaborate closely with the Emergency Room department to ensure appropriate patient care levels
  • Supervise and mentor assigned medical, nurse practitioner, and physician assistant students as part of teaching facility requirements

Additional Information
  • Must be licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in Washington
  • Minimum 3 years of family practice and some rural health experience required
  • Family Nurse Practitioner certification (FNP) and Basic Life Support (BLS) required
  • Experience with Cerner EMR is preferred
