Job Description

We are seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner for a 6-week locum tenens assignment with our client in Washington. This position starts on Sep 11, 2025, and features a schedule of 12-hour weekday shifts and 8-hour weekend shifts. The Family Nurse Practitioner will provide care for a range of acute conditions including covid testing, x-rays, food poisoning, hives and rashes, ear aches and infections, and eye irritations.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Conduct covid testing and interpret results
  • Perform x-rays as required for diagnostic purposes
  • Assess and treat cases of food poisoning
  • Diagnose and manage hives, rashes, and other dermatological presentations
  • Evaluate and treat ear aches and infections
  • Address eye irritations and provide appropriate care
  • Document patient encounters using Athenahealth EMR
  • Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure continuity of care

Additional Information
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience required
  • Active Washington nurse practitioner license required
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA)
  • Proficiency with Athenahealth EMR preferred
