Job Description

We are seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner for a locum tenens assignment in Washington. This opportunity starts on Jan 5, 2026, and runs for 80 days, with day shifts Monday through Friday and one Saturday per month (negotiable). Candidates must have at least 2 years of post-residency experience, including treating newborns, and experience in a community health center setting is required.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages, with a focus on newborns and infants
• Deliver care in a community health center environment
• Perform physical examinations, diagnose conditions, and develop treatment plans
• Manage acute and chronic illnesses
• Counsel patients and families on health maintenance and disease prevention
• Document care and manage patient information using Centricity EMR
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care

Additional Information

• Minimum 2 years post-residency experience required
• Experience with newborns is essential; candidates without this will not be considered if competing with someone who has it
• Community health center experience is mandatory
• Active Washington state license required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required
• Board certification in Family Medicine needed
