Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner for a 60-day locum tenens assignment at a community health center in Washington. Starting Dec 1, 2025, this role features a Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm day shift schedule. The assignment involves outpatient ambulatory care, family medicine, walk-in and acute care services, and chronic disease management, with a focus on both adult and pediatric patients.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide comprehensive outpatient family medicine services, including acute care and chronic disease management
  • Care for both adult and pediatric patients, including same-day walk-in cases
  • Perform basic procedures such as injections, IUD placement, and minor wound care
  • Deliver care to vulnerable populations, including migrants and refugees
  • Collaborate with on-site interpretive services as needed
  • Document patient encounters accurately and efficiently
  • Integrate quickly into the team with a brief ramp-up and orientation period


Additional Information

  • Active Washington state license and DEA required
  • Board certification in Family Medicine required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner with face-to-face patient contact (including pediatrics) within the past year
  • Clean background required; no history of malpractice considered
  • Experience in community health settings or a strong interest in serving vulnerable populations is preferred
