Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Family Practice Physician for a 120-day locum tenens assignment in Alaska starting Mar 2, 2026. This role features a Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm schedule and offers the chance to provide primary and urgent care in a rural setting. Responsibilities and Duties
  • Deliver primary and urgent care services to a diverse patient population
  • Provide care for pediatric and adult patients; OBGYN experience is highly valued
  • Manage acute and chronic conditions in a rural healthcare environment
  • Utilize Cerner EMR for all patient documentation and clinical workflows
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory standards and facility protocols

Additional Information
  • Must hold a valid Alaska medical license
  • Board certification in Family Medicine required
  • Required certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA)
  • Prior experience in primary care, urgent care, IHS/Tribal or rural settings preferred
