Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Family Practice Physician for a 120-day locum tenens assignment in Alaska. This opportunity begins on Mar 2, 2026, and features a Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. schedule with a rotational Saturday shift every 4–6 weeks. The physician will join a new urgent care clinic and should have a background in urgent care, IHS/Tribal or rural settings, and experience with pediatrics and OBGYN is highly valued.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Deliver patient care in a new urgent care clinic setting
  • Evaluate and treat a wide range of urgent care cases
  • Provide care to patients across all age groups, with an emphasis on pediatrics and OBGYN if experienced
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team
  • Utilize Cerner EMR for documentation and patient management

Additional Information
  • Must hold an active Alaska medical license
  • Required board certification: Family Medicine
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and DEA certification required
  • Prior experience in IHS/Tribal or rural healthcare settings is preferred
  • No flexibility for the start date
