Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Family Practice Physician Assistant for a 60-day locum tenens assignment in California, starting Dec 8, 2025. This role offers a Monday through Friday schedule with 8am-5pm day shifts. The ideal candidate will possess locum experience, current Family Practice expertise, and an active CA DEA with furnishing license.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Provide comprehensive care to patients in a Family Practice setting
  • Deliver services to a diverse patient population, with approximately 75 percent Spanish-speaking patients (support with translators and Spanish-speaking medical assistants available)
  • Manage cases with a high proportion of Medical/Medicaid patients
  • Maintain thorough and accurate documentation using Epic EMR
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure high-quality patient care
  • Adhere to all facility protocols and standards

Additional Information
  • Locum experience required
  • Recent experience in Family Practice required (Internal Medicine and Pediatrics not accepted)
  • Experience in FQHC, Rural Health, or IHS settings is valuable
  • Active California DEA and Furnishing License required
  • Board certification in Family Medicine required
