We are seeking an experienced Family Practice Physician Assistant for a 48-day locum tenens assignment in California. This opportunity begins on Jan 12, 2026, with a flexible schedule of 3-4 days per week, working 7:30am to 5:00pm. The position centers on providing full-scope family medicine care to patients of all ages in outpatient settings, with a focus on primary care, cold and flu management, wellness checks, and physicals. Spanish-speaking ability is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Deliver comprehensive outpatient family medicine care to patients across all age groups
  • Manage common conditions such as cold, cough, and flu
  • Conduct wellness checks and physical examinations
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in primary care, dental, and dermatology services
  • Utilize Athenahealth EMR for patient documentation and workflow
  • Adapt care to a predominantly Spanish-speaking patient population

Additional Information
  • At least 2-3 years of experience as a Physician Assistant required
  • Active California license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Board certification in Family Medicine required
  • Spanish-speaking skills preferred but not mandatory
