Job Description
We are seeking a Family Practice Physician Assistant for a 60-day locum tenens assignment in California. This position begins on Feb 16, 2026, offering day shifts from 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday, in a busy clinic setting. The ideal candidate will have recent experience in Family Practice and must possess an active California DEA and furnishing license. Locum experience and a background in FQHC, Rural Health, or IHS are required.Job Details

Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide primary care services to a diverse patient population, with approximately 75 percent Spanish-speaking patients
- Collaborate with translators and Spanish-speaking medical assistants to ensure effective communication
- Deliver care to patients with a high proportion of Medical/Medicaid coverage
- Work efficiently in a high-volume clinic environment
- Maintain accurate documentation using the Epic EMR system
- Adhere to all clinical protocols and policies
Additional Information
- Recent Family Practice experience is required; Internal Medicine and Pediatrics backgrounds are not accepted
- Must hold active California DEA and furnishing licenses
- Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certification required
- Board certification in Family Medicine required
- Experience in FQHC, Rural Health, or IHS settings strongly preferred
