Job Description
We are seeking a Family Practice Physician Assistant for a 60-day locum tenens assignment in California, starting Feb 16, 2026. This position offers weekday day shifts from 8am to 5pm in a busy clinic setting, with a patient population that is approximately 75 percent Spanish speaking and a high percentage of Medical/Medicaid cases.Job Details

Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide comprehensive family practice care in a high-volume clinic environment
- Work with a patient base that is 75 percent Spanish speaking, utilizing translators and Spanish speaking medical assistants as needed
- Manage a patient population with approximately 78 percent Medical/Medicaid coverage
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using the Epic electronic medical record system
- Collaborate with clinic staff to deliver effective and efficient patient care
- Ensure compliance with all required licensure, including active CA DEA and Furnishing license
Additional Information
- Locum experience is required
- Experience in FQHC, rural health, or IHS settings preferred
- Most recent clinical experience must be in a Family Practice setting (internal medicine or pediatrics experience alone will not be accepted)
- Required board certification: Family Medicine
- Must have current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certification
- Active California licensure required
