We are seeking a Family Practice Physician Assistant for a 200-day locum tenens assignment in California. This opportunity begins on Feb 16, 2026, with a Monday to Friday schedule, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, providing comprehensive outpatient care to both adult and pediatric patients. The ideal candidate will excel in chronic disease management, preventive medicine, and routine office-based procedures, and will be comfortable collaborating within a multidisciplinary care team.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide outpatient primary care to adult and pediatric patients
• Diagnose and manage chronic medical conditions
• Perform routine office-based procedures within scope
• Conduct preventive care visits, screenings, and counseling
• Deliver women’s health services, including Pap smears
• Provide pediatric well-child care and immunizations
• Prescribe and manage medications and treatment plans
• Review and interpret labs and diagnostic results
• Coordinate referrals and specialty care, including telehealth
• Maintain accurate EHR documentation and collaborate with care teams

Additional Information

• Active California PA license required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required
• Strong background in chronic disease management, preventive care, and routine office-based procedures in a community or rural clinic setting
• Experience with EHR systems necessary
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
