Job Description
Our client in California is seeking a dedicated Family Practice Physician Assistant for a 60-day assignment starting Mar 23, 2026. This role involves providing comprehensive outpatient primary care for patients of all ages, diagnosing and managing acute and chronic conditions, performing routine exams, and delivering women’s health services, with day shifts from 8a-5p.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care for patients of all ages
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
- Perform routine exams, preventive screenings, and annual wellness visits
- Deliver women’s health services, including pap smears and contraceptive management
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, labs, and imaging as needed
- Coordinate care with dental, behavioral health, and specialty providers within the facility
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Participate in care team meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and patient education efforts
Additional Information
- Board Certification in Family Medicine required
- EMR system utilized: e-MDs
- Schedule includes day shifts from 8a-5p
- Cases involve acute and chronic disease management, routine physicals, women’s health, pediatric, and geriatric care, and simple in-office procedures
